American Pistachio Growers (APG) is a non-profit trade association representing over 830 grower members in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. APG is governed by a democratically elected board of directors who are growers and is funded entirely by growers and independent processors with the shared goal of increasing global awareness of nutritious, American-grown pistachios.

Advanced production technologies, efficient harvesting and sophisticated growing techniques now make the United States number one in global commercial production. Today, the states of California, Arizona and New Mexico represent 100 percent of the U.S. commercial pistachio production. There are 950 producers in the United States, and the annual “farm gate value” of pistachios represents more than $1.6 billion to the California economy and more than $16 million to the states of Arizona and New Mexico.
